LPG Live Scan, a division of The Loss Prevention Group, Inc., is a California DOJ and FBI certified fingerprinting service provider. We offer live scan and ink fingerprinting services at our office in Downtown Oakland, as well as mobile services throughout the Bay Area and Northern California for group requests.

In-Office Services:
Live Scan and Ink Fingerprinting
Address: 524 7th Street, Oakland, CA 94607 (between Washington and Clay Streets, near the Oakland Police Department and across from the Wiley W. Manuel County of Alameda Courthouse). We are just a few blocks away from the 12th Street Downtown Oakland BART Station. Metered street parking is available in front of the building, and there is a parking lot at the corner of 7th and Clay Streets.

Fee:
$30.00 rolling fee for each live scan or ink-rolled card. Additional costs may apply for government (DOJ/FBI) background processing fees.

LPG Live Scan accepts cash, credit/debit cards, money orders, business checks, gift certificates, and billing accounts. Personal checks are not accepted.

Business Hours:
- Tuesday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Walk-ins are welcome—typically, there is little to no wait, or you can schedule an appointment). Note: We are closed for lunch from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday to Friday.
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Walk-ins welcome—again, typically there is little to no wait, or you can schedule an appointment). We do not close for lunch on Saturdays.

What to Bring:
- A valid government/state-issued photo ID.
- For Live Scan fingerprinting, also bring the Request for Live Scan Service form issued by the organization requesting the background check.
- For ink fingerprinting, LPG Live Scan provides the standard FBI Applicant FD-258 card.
