Guard Card Training Class (Part A - Power to Arrest)
Hybrid Learning (Online & In-Person) Guard Card Training Class. Part A - Power to Arrest training completed online (3 hours). Part B - Appropriate Use of Force training (5 hours) must be completed in person at our Oakland training facility. We offer in-person training once a month on Wednesdays or Fridays, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. *An additional $140.00 fee is due at the in-person course for the BSIS Guard Card Application and Live Scan fingerprinting background processing fees.
A TOTAL OF 32 HOURS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF THE GUARD REGISTRATION ISSUANCE DATE, AS REQUIRED BY BSIS. COMPLETE THE 32-HOUR CONTINUING EDUCATION BELOW TO FULFILL THIS TRAINING REQUIREMENT.
